David Rust

Picture
David has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with watercolours, earning an international reputation as a skilled and prolific artist with a large and varied body of work. A great lover of the English countryside, David has drawn inspiration from many of the U.K's areas of outstanding natural beauty, particularly the Welsh border, Herefordshire, the Cotswolds and south Cornwall, where he now resides. Constant observation of his surroundings recorded in sketchbooks are later developed in his studio, where they are transformed into delicate and atmospheric pieces handled with great care. David has regularly exhibited for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour exhibitions at the Mall Galleries, London. His work continues to enjoy an ever growing demand and can be found in private collections all over the world. After a long career with watercolours, he branched out into oils, taking a few months off to practice the medium, and at the end of 2014 began showing both oil and watercolour paintings. Ever popular, David's work holds it's value increasingly well and we have the rare opportunity to offer several pieces of some very detailed work from a private collection.
