Angela is a self-taught artist who enjoys sketching and painting with oil or watercolour. Obsessed with creating, Angela finds that she is even able make something if left alone with a chocolate wrapper! She prides herself on being a little eccentric. Growing up in Battle, she spent her childhood in the fields, making elaborate structures with flowers, wood and grass, leaving her creations for other people and animals to enjoy discovering. She derives her inspiration from the natural world with which she feels a strong connection, and is in constant awe of nature’s beauty. She especially loves trees, and she endeavours to capture their endless complexities, radiance and intrigue. Historically she has kept her work very private, finding it to be more a form of therapy, but has recently begun to share her creations publicly, and spurred on by an overwhelmingly positive response from colleagues, friends and family, she is now exhibiting in The Hope Anchor and Ethel Loves me, both in Rye, and has also illustrated her first book.
